The Paparoa Ultra Kids Fun Run is all about inspiring the next generation of West Coast adventurers.

Our goal is to give children a taste of what it feels like to be part of a real sporting event – from pinning on a race bib and standing on the start line to crossing the finish line with a huge smile on their face. Whether they're running, jogging, skipping or walking, we want every child to experience the excitement, achievement and sense of community that makes events like the Paparoa Ultra so special.

 

The West Coast has produced some incredible endurance athletes over the years, including world-class trail runner Ruth Croft. Every great athlete starts somewhere, and for many, that journey begins by simply having fun and giving something new a go. The Kids' Fun Run is our way of encouraging young people to get outdoors, challenge themselves and discover a love for movement and adventure.

 

This isn't about winning or being the fastest. It's about building confidence, celebrating effort and creating memorable experiences for our tamariki.
